It was a huge success as it witnessed participation from the brightest young minds of the country, craving to prove their business acumen. Various events canvassing diverse spheres of management tested these students in unique and challenging ways.
One of the event in this fest which tickled the curiosity buds of most of the participants was “Socialis Procurator”, conceptualised by the Corporate Social Responsibility Club of IIM Raipur - Kartavya. The event garnered participation of students from leading B-Schools including NITIE-Mumbai, Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA) and IIM Raipur.
The event had a unique premise where participant teams were asked to fill in the shoes of Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) top management. They were required to imbibe the corporate philosophy of SAIL and ideate possible CSR initiatives. The teams were given a budget of Rs.18 Crores and they had the herculean task of incubating a CSR initiative plan for SAIL within the budget. All participant teams presented in front of our experienced and erudite judges – Mr. Vyom Pada Das, President, Hari Krishna Movement of Akshayapatra and Mr. A. K. Sahu, Assistant General Manager, SAIL.
A plethora of unprecedented and interesting ideas came up with underlying theme of triple bottom line. Major issues like – Health, Education, Unemployment and Sanitation were discussed. Although each team was able to exceed the expectations of our judges, some proved better equipped than rest.
